TESTIMONIALS
  • We thank the Council of Competition and the Ministry of Commerce, and we would wish to reiterate that the few succeeded experiences, the Council and the Ministry had, to combat monopoly, promote business competition and punish the monopolists, prove that it’s possible to do something to stop greedy practices of some businesses.

    Dr. Abdulwahid Alhamid
  • The council of Competition opens the door of hope for us, as it brings out an end to companies that manipulate people’s livelihoods by monopolizing basic commodities and raising their prices. Such effort requires that the Council should intensify the monitor activity on such commodities and their new prices at every morning and should implement the Law to all without exception.

    Ali Ahmed Sahvan
  • The Ministry of Commerce, through the Council of Competition, shall in-depth study position of commercial agencies and the extent to which a small group of traders control such agencies. When I say a “small group”, I mean a number of less than 10 individuals. That means that the scope of the study required is: Who are the traders who control 80% of basic commodities agencies? What is the feasibility of suggesting mechanisms to step out, such as establishing companies that share such agencies between them, so that the consumer’s commodities are not controlled by one or two traders.
