Job Description
(GAC) is seeking a highly experienced Advocacy Director to Manage and monitor the implementation of policies and procedures related to policy support in line with GAC's strategic plans and government regulations; to make recommendations that contribute to supporting stakeholders' decision makers in taking objective and effective decisions in the area of competition-influencing regulations and policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and follow up the implementation of the Policy and Procedures Guide for Policy Support in line with the relevant global best practices and regulations.
- Participate with relevant competent regulators and the internal regulatory units to develop laws and regulations.
- Oversee the development and monitoring the implementation of annual plans of reviewing government laws and regulations by coordinating with relevant regulatory units.
- Develop and implement policy support plans geared to engaging with competent regulators on regulatory changes that promote fair competition.
- Preparing and publishing reports in the field of competition to contribute to the promotion of the competitive environment within the Kingdom in line with international best practices.
Skills
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Economy or Public Policy, or any relevant major. Master's Degree holders are preferred.
- 10 years of experience in the job field, including minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial position.
- Holding one of the following professional certificates are preferred:
-Certified Business Economist (National Association for Business Economics)
-Certified Economic Developer (International Economic Development Council)
